YEPPOON WEDDING: CARMEN & TRENT // Take A Look

Some weddings are very traditional, boys and girls separate in the morning, their is stress over the dress, the flowers, the weather, the bride runs late and the groom doesnt see his bride until she is walking down the aisle. It might have been the tropical sea air that immediately put them in holiday mode at Mecure Resort, but instead of a mad wedding morning rush, Carmen and Trent were taking it easy and enjoying ever moment their day had for them. Sometimes a wedding is about just two people, but Carmen and Trent was about more than that – family and friends had gathered from local and interstate to share their day, they played games with the family in the morning, to witness their committment in the afternoon and to celebrate the night away. Maybe their calmness stemmed from the fact that this wedding was not really the beginning for these two, as they had already made the greatest commitment two people can make to eachother – Mr and Mrs Russell are excepting baby Russell!

I was lucky enough to be there to witness Carmen & Trent’s special day and you have captured the essence of these two wonderful people perfectly.

MELBOURNE WEDDING: NICOLE & ENOCH // A Moment With You

Looking back, it’s funny to see the moments that have had such a big impact on your life, especially those that at the time seemed insignificant. For Nicole it was applying for a part time job at her local restaurant – little did she know that when she was passed in her resume, that she was handing it to her future husband!

I really enjoy meeting up with my couples before their wedding, it helps me get to know them a bit better and they can see I am not some scary video guy with a comb over and a pot belly!! When I met up with Nicole and Enoch for lunch the week before their wedding, I could tell they were so excited about their upcoming wedding! They told me about all the things they had been doing, their plans for the big day, showed me photos of their reception venue, and we talked about their family and their future together. And once the day arrived, it was evident their excitement had increased ten fold and they were ready for a great day, despite the alternating weather of sun, rain, and wind

Nicole and Enoch, thank you for choosing me to tell your story.

MELBOURNE WEDDING: JASON & HUYEN // Treasured Moments

Welcome to 2012 everyone!

You may remember just before Christmas we shared Jason and Huyen’s Love Story, so we thought what better way to kick of the year than with The Story of Jason & Huyen – Part 2!

It was Jason who contacted me early last year about being part of their wedding. Being a graphic designer by trade, we immediately hit it off and it was a great experience for me to be able to work so collaboratively with both him and Huyen in the lead up to their big day. Creativity is an important part of their lives and they wanted this to be represented in their wedding. From the big things like Jason designing their beautiful wedding invitations, to the little details like Huyen and her bridesmaide spending the morning of the wedding tying a ribbon onto each one of their guest gifts, Huyen and Jason took care to make this day beautiful and meaningful to both them and their guests. And they couldn’t have picked a better team of creatives to help make their vision come to life, so a special shout out must go to Nat from Nattnee Photography who came down from Sydney to do their photography and Joanie from One Wedding Wish who styling their wedding which included a beautiful garden themed drinks station (make sure you click on their links to see images from the day!)

And to Jason & Huyen, thank you for including me in this chapter of your story together.
