MELBOURNE SRI LANKAN HINDU WEDDING: THARMILA & KAVIYAN // A Life Together

Being part of a Sri-Lankan Hindu wedding is an amazing experience, the colours, sounds and rituals are different, but just like all wedding ceremonies, it encapsulates the bringing together of two lives. It truly is a beautiful and meaningful way to enter into marriage, and I know these elements were important to Thami and Kav. From the outset it was so clear that this wedding was about more than the joining of these two, its was a day to honor their heritage and bring together family and friends to celebrate life.

A wedding spanning several days may have seemed like a daunting task when they began the journey of organsing the whole event but they embraced it as a challenge which they had enjoyed together, and this to me is the perfect start to a marriage. I want to thank Kav and Thami for the wonderful time and laughs we had together with them for the two days, and wish them the very best for their life together.

Wow. Beautifully shot and beautifully edited. I felt like I was watching a story unfold not a “wedding video”. Don’t say this often, but such a fan! Keep up the great work guys. Lizzy

PROMO TIME FOR MATT AND KATIE PHOTOGRAPHERS

Last year we headed down to Toowoomba for a few days to spend with Matt and Katie who I’ve known for a few years now. They have been shooting weddings together but the Potraits part of the business was still under the old business name so to make it simple for them and everyone else they have decided to merge it all to one Matt and Katie Photographers and so thats where we came in and Matt approached me to put together a promo film for them.

M and I had such a blast capturing the amazing locations and the beautiful kids and parents. There was so many good shots but working closely together with Matt as he himself used to be a video producer came up with something that reflects their business and who they are as photographers.

Head over to their website MATT AND KATIE PHOTOGRAPHERS and see all the photos from the promo and also lots of other beautiful portraits.

YARRA VALLEY WEDDING: JULIANA & BRUCE // A Gift For Two

A game of tennis might not have been a traditional first date but it was a seed planted in Juliana’s mind that would change her forever and make Bruce a perfect fit for her.

It was a such pleasure sharing such a beautiful day with Juliana and Bruce and being there to capturing it all. In every interaction, their love was evident for all to see. The beautiful words of the celebrant really reflected their true nature; their joy in doing things together, the strength of their love and their commitment in making this journey as one.

They had a very lucky day as it was typical Melbourne weather, we just didn’t know if it was going to keep raining or shining! Fortunately as we made our way to Vines Restaurant at Helen’s Hill Estate, the heavens were with them, the rain had stopped and they were able to exchange vows in a beautiful setting with just the closest friends and family.

I had a blast shooting with Troy from Encore Media who flew down from Sydney to make this a memorable shoot, and I have to give him credit for getting those lovely rain shots!

After seeing our video, Bruce and I would like to thank you for all the work you have done to put together our wedding video, in particular our love story. The video has brought back a lot of cheerful joys and memories. It truly shows our journey and how lucky we both are to have each other and to be together today. Thank YOU.

Thank you again for ensuring that happy memories shine on our day. The video package you put together is very meaningful for us and truly represents us as a couple and our journey together. BTW we love the bloppers section, it is so US (being silly and all) and we laugh and laugh everytime we watch it. We will truly cherish the video and look forward to sharing it with our closest friends and family.

I am so glad that you were able to capture our special day. You are a true champ Pete (getting eaten my the mossies while filming our love story, get wet in the rain at the photo shoot and just brushing it off and getting on with it, making Bruce feel comfortable by playing tennis with him to name a few). I can not thank you enough for what you done and created for us. From the bottom of our heart, THANK YOU from the both of us.

Cheers,
Jules and Bruce

YEPPOON WEDDING: DIANE & OLIVER // In The Air

Di and Ollie’s wedding was something they will never forget, as Diane’s father concluded his beautiful speech “Love truly is, in the Air today” it meant so much for them and was very true. The magic of the day was just amazing, As Diane was getting ready in the morning and sharing the time with her best friends she was already getting emotional. What else made it so special is that Diane was pregnant and she was just radiating with joy and happiness, I certainly couldn’t describe the moment when they were speaking their vows to each other, what amazing feelings they would have felt at that moment. The very last thing that did make it magical is the nature, they both have a passion for marine biology conservation and mother nature was certainly there to celebrate with them, bringing the best temperature, calm waves and beautiful light to their wedding day.

They are our first ever couple in Yeppoon, Diane had contacted us to film their wedding even before we had moved. So we have to say a big thanks to them and wish them all the best in the marriage, and also congratulate them on their first born who could be saying hello to the world any minute now!!
