Hy & Elaine had their beautiful spring wedding ceremony in the St Kilda Botanical Gardens, surrounded by family, friends and many beautiful roses in full bloom. Spring is a time of renewal and new beginnings, and Hy & Elaine’s wedding represented in the combining of the traditional tea ceremonies with modern wedding styling that really made for a elegant celebration.  This trailer is really just a teaser to their Wedding Feature Film, and it really sets the scene for the importance of marriage to Hy & Elaine.

Although they did don the traditional white dress, black suit wedding attire during their day, Andy & Siv’s wedding was definitely a celebration of colour. With the traditions of the Cambodian & Chinese ceremonies, Andy & Siv’s wedding was full of reds and golds, yellow symbols and a pink dress with the added splash of the colours of different fruits and gifts. And just like Christmas, it was a day all about happiness, family, love and even gift giving. It was a true honour for them to asked me to be part of their day to capture their celebration and expression of what it means to them to be married and I hope you all enjoy watching this celebration of one of life’s greatest milestones ~ the marriage of Andy & Siv.

Meeting John and Maria the day before the wedding, they were so warm and welcoming and sitting down to have a coffee with them we chatted like old friends. They told us all about their plans for the next day, but we weren’t prepared for just how amazing it was going to be!! The location at Mount Lofty House had stunning sweeping views over the Adelaide Hills, the food was divine, the French champagne flowed and to top it off John made his spectacular entrance to the ceremony by helicopter! Maria & John certainly don’t do things by halves!!

Thank you John & Maria, it was an amazing experience for us to meet you both and be part of your wonderful day. We know you will live a beautiful life together in love and laughter and hope your Story Film will be a wonderful reminder of the start of your journey as husband and wife.

On the day Dorothy didn’t make it easy for Ivan to see her! Her bridesmaids really put the groomsmen through their paces, the game challenges set were some of the toughest ones I’ve seen, but as you will see in the film, so much fun! It was also exciting to put this film together for them as they had a second reception in Hong Kong and they were able to share the magic on their Melbourne wedding with everyone there which was very well received!! I wish we could have been there to see it

Dorothy & Ivan, it’s been such a pleasure getting to know both of you and being able to capture and share your story. Like a diamond, may your love remain strong and beautiful for eternity.

Learning about our couples is such an important part of what we do and it was wonderful to make that connection with Katrina and Mark. We loved hearing about the story of how they got together, how he (eventually) proposed and we loved Katrina sharing with us her dreams for the day and then being there to see all her plans come together in such an amazing event.

Katrina and Mark, it was such an honour to witness the culmination of  your years come together in a beautiful celebration of true lifelong companions such as yourselves. Thank you for trusting us to tell your story, and we hope this highlight brings a smile to your faces.

But most of all it was so clear that Hayriye and Orhan were proud of eachother. In their speeches, they spoke so beautifully of the passion and drive they give eachother and their dreams of success and happiness in the future. Having only just moved interstate, their wedding symbolised more than just the beginning a new chapter, but the beginning of a new life together, where they would be have to draw strength from each other and step into this new journey of marriage as equals, always there for each other – together, side by side.

When you meet Adam and Bec, it’s hard to not believe in fate.

A split decision to pull over in a car park half way across the world in Spain bought the two of them together, but it seems pretty obvious that even if Bec had kept driving that day, eventually her path was destined to meet Adam’s. From their first meeting, their individual paths married into one as they weaved their way across Europe, set up home in the UK, lived for a while in New Zealand before finally settling down in Australia.  And in March this year, they made the joining of their two paths official and celebrated their marriage in the stunning Byron Bay.

Bec and Adam choose the amazing Figtree Restaurant, Byron Bay to bring together all their family and friends from across the globe. It was all hands on deck in the morning as Bec, with the help of her bridesmaids, did an amazing job styling the ceremony and reception and her aunt lent her expertise by making absolutely beautiful floral creations both for the venue and the bridal party. Their ceremony, set out on the grass in front on the ancient fig tree, looked out over the stunning Byron Bay hinterland and on to the Pacific Ocean, and was a fitting spot for these two world travellers to start their new journey together. And then it was only a short stroll back up to the restaurant where the evening celebrations really kicked off!

Bec and Adam, thank you for including me in your special day. It was such a beautiful wedding to be a part of, not only because of all the effort you put into to making every little detail look amazing, but because it is an honour for me to be able to witness and capture the start of a new journey for two wonderful people like yourselves.

Both Brittany and Wayne are very much hands on in the planning of their wedding and it really showed on the day. From all the little details they created for the reception, to the amazingly beautiful self written vows and to the amazing gift that Brittany gave to Wayne at the reception. And what a gift it was! Brittany had told me all about what she had planned when we first spoke, she had to keep it a secret for almost almost a year and asked me what’s the best way to present it – I felt so privileged that she wanted my opinion and I must say it did look truly spectacular on the night! So, what is this special gift you ask? Well you’ll have to watch the highlight to see for yourself!

After spending so much time together with Brittany and Wayne, it is easy to see that they are not only best friends who are totally in love with each other, but they also make such a great team together as well. They truly are a match made in heaven!! And they need to be a good team, because I have an extra special video to share along with their highlight – Brittany and Wayne decided to apply as contestants in the Australian Amazing Race! As they figured they don’t know much about video so asked me to do it, I had a great time spending the day with them and in the process was able to learn a little bit more about their story. They tell me they haven’t got in I won’t really know for sure until the show airs as I am sure they can’t really say if they are in or not!! So watch this space
