BYFIELD & ROCKHAMPTON WEDDING: SELINA & GRANT // Hideaway

They met in Longreach at the Charity Variety Bash with a bit of intervention by some oldies, and with the persistence of Grant they eventually got together and their love story blossomed from there on.

Selina & Grant’s wedding day was very much in the theme of the forrest and beautiful Ferns Hideaway in Byfield was the perfect location. Holding the ceremony by the creek, mother nature was kind enough to keep the water perfectly still while Selina and Grant exhanged their vows of love and committment.

It was just over week after we had packed up our lives in Melbourne and relocated to Yeppoon, that my sister got married. Amongst the influx of interstate guests, the arrival of moving boxes and the last minute preparations for the wedding, it was a hectic time to say the least! At the time my thoughts got lost in the whirlwind of activity, so now I am taking this opportunity to express my happiness on such a awesome event…

Firstly to Marcus, welcome to the Howlett family – I am not sure you realised when you asked Sarah to marry you that you were actually taking on the all of us, but I am glad you have accepted the challenge! You are such a kind hearted, generous and supportive person, Sarah is lucky to have you in her life and so are we. Thank you for making Sarah happy. Every day, I can see in your words, your actions, your eyes how much you love my sister. And the way you have embraced us all is truly appreciated, from accepting my unladylike eating habits, to Dad parading in his y-fronts and the endless lists of handyman jobs from Mum – you are now officially part of our family.

To my sister Sarah, mein Schwest. I love you. Not only for our mutual appreciation for Revenge of the Nerd movies, old fried dimsims and our wicked tag team dance routines, but for the other stuff too. For being a great listener, a positive influence, being up for anything, for embracing the crazy! I know I can always rely on you, for the serious stuff and for the silly stuff too! You are a beautiful person, a wonderful sister and a great friend. I am so glad you have found Marcus, I know you two will create a wonderful life together and we are so grateful to be able to part of it.

MELBOURNE WEDDING: PAMELA & MALCOLM // A Dream Aloud

Pam was once my boss, although when we worked together it was more like work mates – Friday night drinks, rock concerts and just having a good time at work, but there was one thing Pam was missing, which was the man that she had been looking for. Luckily it was not too long until Mal appeared and things started getting serious, Pam set about dropping what Mal called “not so subtle hints”. Fortunately a ring was presented and then they headed off on a 6 week trip to Europe to celebrate their engagement. It has been awesome to see their relationship blossom and has been so wonderful to be part of their wedding day and be able to capture it for them.

Now I was originally going to blog with a whole theme about St Kilda football team as both Pam and Mal are huge fans but as we know now, unfortunately the grand finals (re-match) game didn’t end so well so I hope this film can be something to cheer them up and remind them about their beautiful day instead.

Rebecca & David Highlight

Last night we dropped off the final DVD’s to Rebecca and David as an early Christmas present. It was wonderful catching up with them again, and just like they were on their wedding day they were so welcoming and excited to see us! We are really proud of this wedding film and were thrilled to receive a thank you message after they watched the DVD last night – it’s those moments that we remember we love what we do!

So, I now have the pleasure of presenting to you Rebecca and David’s highlight. It was such a pleasure to be part of their day and I really wanted their highlights to capture the love and spirit of the joining of not only Rebecca and David, but their families as well. It truly a wonderful day full of family, friends and lots of smiles!

Also we would like to wish a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year to everybody.
